Photo-Tuesday

Yesterday early evening, as I was heading to the woodshop, I happened to look up and notice the moon perfectly framed within an opening in the clouds.  I tore inside for my camera, but within seconds the clouds had shifted and I had missed my moment...  But I took the picture anyways, of the missed moon.

Later, while trying to decide what I was going to post for today, I kept coming back to this photo.  I thought that it could be a good one to pair with a quote.

I like to think that life is constantly conspiring to give us what we need and ultimately want.  Perhaps the next thing that doesn't happen for you will actually be an opening door, or a break in the clouds if you will...

Doily Dream Catchers- Simple Neutrals

I have a couple more doily dream catchers to show you!  I find neutral colors very simple and calming, and I think they look great against natural wood!

And the winners are...

I put everyone's lovely name in my beloved Buddha Bowl, and pulled these three names!  I swear on my Grandmother's vintage doily patterns (now you know I mean business!), I did not cheat in any way!  Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a steel crochet hook in my eye!  So congratulations krazy knit kerena, Sandra, and Debbie!  I will be contacting you ladies to see if you'd like a fox set or a horse, and if you have any color preferences!

Oh, one more thing!!  I chose the name for the blog's little mascot! Drum roll please.......  Oswald!  So Carly, since you suggested this perfect name, you win too!!

I can't believe it's already Flag Day here in the US... Where is the time going?  Is it just me, or does it seem like every day is flying by faster and faster?!  I just want to grab ahold of Time and make it slow down a bit!  Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend, and stop by Saturday to see the results of the giveaway!

A Birthday Lamp, a Tale of Reconciliation

Today I want to show you what my dad and I made for my mom for her birthday (which was just the other day)!  We made this lamp from pieces of cherry wood and parts from a broken ceramic lamp that a friend gave me awhile ago (thank you so much Kristen!!).  I think it turned out pretty well...
