Vintage Doilies

Untitled

I don't think I can ever work on just one thing at a time...  One of my projects right now is playing with some vintage doily patterns that my mom brought home from Idaho when she was visiting my grandmother. I've got one almost finished and a couple of more I'm probably going to have to try as well...  I just love looking through old patterns!  Don't you?

Hope you all have a great Monday, I'm off to catch up on my blog reading!

  1. I've just started a doily myself. I'm using big chunky yarn to put a fun spin on the traditional dainty doily. I hope it turns out how I want it too...

  2. I love the old patterns except they require such small thread (20-50). I like using size 10 so what I make is usually larger than it should be.

  5. I have a ton of those patterns from my grandmother. She made a lot of them. The thread is just so fine and everything is so small I'm not sure I could do it. I may try one day.
